Who let the dogs out at Wink Bingo?

For some time now we have seen the innovative advert for Wink Bingo on our television screens showing the lady dancing in her pyjamas but now there is a new version for their marketing campaign and we have to ask who let the dogs out at Wink Bingo? This bingo sites new advert contains two of the usual suspects in any online bingo advert, a woman and a laptop but there isn’t a bingo ball in sight!

The advert begins with a woman sat on her sofa, laptop to her left and a dog  curled up on her lap to the right. The dog is beautiful, a Weirmaraner, and it seems to be taking quite and interest in the online bingo game she is playing at Wink Bingo although its quite obvious that the eyes aren’t its own as they look a bit squiffy!

When she becomes a winner at Wink Bingo this leads her and the dog to start celebrating to some rather pleasant Irish music. At this point in the Wink Bingo commercial it is obvious that the dog has become a computer enhanced image because despite their being some rather talented dogs around, we doubt that there are any that can actually perform any kind of Irish dancing no matter which of the online bingo sites they are marketing!

Whilst the advert is fun it does beg the question, similar to that posed by the Wink Bingo sponsorship of The Cube, what does a dog have to do with online bingo? The kittens have no relevance either and you have to wonder what way the Wink Bingo marketing team are going with the use of animals in their commercials.

Although a canid is used to market another online bingo site this is relevant considering the site is called Foxy Bingo but to our mind there is no common link between Wink Bingo and domesticated animals.
