Understanding the bingo language

Bingo ballsIf you are relatively new to internet bingo, you will have noticed that all bingo sites often use a different language in their chat rooms as well as abbreviations. But understanding the bingo language can be extremely difficult and how many of us  understand what most of it means? Some bingo sites are now adding lists of abbreviations and translations to help players get a better understanding. But even the most experienced players may still struggle from time to time and find these lists useful.

We have also found that some bingo sites may use the same bingo wording, but have a different meaning. I once thought that when someone was referred to as “raiding”, it meant that this player was playing in more than one bingo room at the same time. However, I have since found another bingo sites translation of this word, means that they are playing, but not in chat. Another bingo sites language for someone playing bingo but outside of chat is referred to as playing dark. So whatever bingo sites you choose to play bingo at, there is always going to be a different meaning to different bingo language word somewhere.

The abbreviations that  sites use in their bingo chat rooms, usually represent the same word or term. However, you may find that some abbreviations you see on one site, you may not have seen on any other bingo sites. This could be because all bingo sites are unique in their own way. There may be abbreviations used in some bingo chat games and if no other bingo sites play that particular chat game or does not play it in the same way, any abbreviation used could be unique to that site.

Under the circumstances it is probably better to make use of the Chat Hosts that many bingo sites have. They are well clued up on terms used for the bingo sites that they work for and do a fantastic job in making people both new and old feel welcome.
