New bingo book published

If ever we needed reminding just how a game of bingo can enrich the lives of many people then look no further than a new book published this month called Bingo & Social Club. Many people have been turning to online bingo sites over recent years and this is due to many reasons. The smoking ban is one but the convenience of the internet has played a huge part too and the increasing popularity of online bingo sites has continued to climb.

The book, by Maxine Gallagher and Michael Hess will provide an interesting insight for the most avid fan of the game and particularly to those who use online bingo sites and have never used a land based hall. One of the authors of this new book explains that he became fascinated by bingo halls when he once entered an old converted cinema back in 2005. Realising that it wasn’t just about gambling he began taking his camera along and talking to the people and noting their stories and four years later, he was ready to write the book.

Despite the land based bingo halls dwindling numbers in favour of online bingo sites, the game of bingo is still very much considered a traditional game and whether you use online bingo sites or land based halls, the book will definitely make interesting reading to anyone who loves the game.
