MegaMillions offers $168 million jackpot

As Christmas approaches, many of you will be feeling lucky and perhaps you may decide to have a flutter on the lottery. The last time that there was a jackpot winner on the MegaMillions was on 9th November, which is why we have seen this lottery jackpot climb to such dizzy heights. With MegaMillions boasting the biggest jackpot in the US, there is no doubt that this will be the most popular lottery game to play over the festive period for most US players and indeed many more all over the world.

To play MegaMillions, you will need to pick your numbers from two separate pools. Five numbers will come from a pool of one to 56 and one further number, known as the MegaBall from a pool of one to 46. There are several prize tiers for the MegaMillions, offering prizes that range from $2 right up to $250,000 and some states even offer a Megaplier which enables a player to increase any non jackpot prize that they win on the MegaMillions by up to four times. The other multi state lottery game in the US called PowerBall has a draw taking place this evening. A jackpot of $35 million is currently on offer, so still comes some way behind the MegaMillions. However, if not won this evening, there could be a tasty jackpot to play for on Christmas day.
