Mecca Bingo hall is burgled

Earlier last week we said about how people may turn to internet bingo sites during the adverse weather conditions, as many people would be unable to get to their local bingo halls to play. It seems that a group of opportunists have also taken advantage of the weather as a Mecca Bingo hall is burgled in Southampton. After being forced to close early due to icy conditions, the Mecca Bingo hall was later ransacked and the thieves escaped with what is believed to be thousands of pounds.

Thankfully there were no staff inside the Mecca Bingo hall when the burglary took place at 10pm on Wednesday night but gaming machines were smashed by the thieves to remove the money inside them. Mecca Bingo staff at the Southampton hall have since has a major clean up and the hall is now open for business as usual. Police have not said how much money was stolen from this Mecca Bingo hall, only that the amount was ‘significant’.

Again this incident at the Mecca Bingo hall only confirms the advantages of using online bingo sites to play bingo. There are no chances of money being stolen and certainly no damage can be caused. This of course means that users of online bingo sites are secure in knowing that the game of bingo is safe and available for them to enjoy 24 hours a day and 7 days a week.
